SketchDeck has grown its software powered design service over the last 6 years to a profitable agency serving some of the biggest brands around the world. During this time we've learned what is needed to provide significant value to agencies with software.
This year, we launched the software as its own product for all agencies to benefit from. This is happening under our new agencyMAX brand. The platform is already being used by hundreds of people across many companies.
We are looking for a Senior UX designer to join the team. This is a unique opportunity to join a small, agile team at product launch, but with the backing of a more established startup.
Here are some of the design challenges at the top of our backlog:
- Project scheduling
- Re-thinking critical components for a responsive web app
- Project budgeting and billing
- "Campaigns" - ability to manage multiple projects as one
- Team management and sharing
Requirements
We are a small team with big goals. We're looking for a designer who can take an abstract problem, research and analyze it, and produce a thoughtful solution and has the following:
- 5+ years experience in product design (UX/UI) working alongside engineers on software products
- Comfortable organizing and tackling big projects, including creating clear solutions to ambiguous problems
- Knowledge and exposure to common UX research methods (including user testing, user interviews, etc.)
- Fundamental understanding of graphic design principles and visual design
- Understanding of design systems, and is able to influence and support an existing design system
- Able to wear many hats when needed (researcher, designer, etc)
- Experience with design and prototyping tools (Figma preferred, but not necessary)
- Can design for multiple device types and contexts (desktop, tablet) and responsive designs for the web
- A clear understanding of the differences in UX and UI strategies as applied to expert and non-expert users
- Strong interpersonal skills, careful attention to detail, and skills in driving consensus
- Deep understanding of user motivations and goal-oriented design through research and testing
- A portfolio of previous work available for review
