head of new business, uk & europe jobs



We're looking for an outstanding business and revenue leader to drive our expansion into the UK and Europe. This is a senior role at one of the world's most exciting FinTechs, and a ground-floor position in our nascent EMEA business.  

You will have the opportunity to shape our organisation and see the tangible impact of your efforts on our success. You will report directly to our Founder and Group CEO.  

The ideal candidate will be a driven leader who can spearhead the launch, setup and development of our UK business, with ultimate responsibility for delivering on our ambitious growth plans and revenue targets in the UK.   This role requires adaptability and the need to wear multiple hats as required as we set up our UK business, plan for its rapid growth and effectively execute on plans.


Key Expectations:

  • that you will both be able to generate your own pipeline and close deals (particularly with enterprise/strategic clients)

  • hold joint responsibility with our CRO to recruit and build a high performance sales team in the region 

  • You will own on-going UK client relationships, working with the Client Success team to deliver an exceptional experience for clients and drive account expansion. 

  • You will act as the key point of contact for senior stakeholders on key UK accounts, responsible for all commercial and strategic negotiations

  • You will build great networks in the broader ecosystem, and be an excellent ambassador for us with potential clients, partners, industry groups and talent.

  • You will be successful in this role by working closely with the broader global team to ensure our go-to-market is appropriately designed, and brilliantly executed. 

  • You will be the key conduit of local market insights back to our global product and marketing teams.

  • You will be a key contributor to our European expansion strategy - including the selection & prioritisation, planning and execution of entry into new markets. This may involve either organic or inorganic paths.

  • The ideal candidate will be excited about our mission to revolutionise an industry and improve the lives of consumers in debt.



What do we need from you?

  • 8+ years track record of high performance within high-growth startups and/or regulated consumer finance businesses, with either rapid momentum towards leadership positions or proven experience as a leader;

  • Proven history of driving revenue growth and delivering on sales targets, both as an individual contributor and a leader;

  • Intuitive understanding of performance drivers in a sales organisation, and 

  • Strong familiarity the credit value chain and deep existing networks within the various participants along that chain;

  • Collections experience is a bonus, but is not required;

  • Intellectual curiosity, and a desire to see things done better;

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; and

  • First-rate leadership skills, and the ability to get the best out of those around you.
