Here at AdChina.io, we are a VC funded team of 13 full-time people, with plans of doubling over the next 12 months as we continue our success.

Focused on enriching peoples’ lives by connecting the world, we make doing business in China easy for everyone, by developing and delivering cloud software and consultancy services. 

The Content Marketer position is vital to the success of our company, working within the growth team to coordinate, produce, and edit content for AdChina.io. You will need to have strong written and editorial skills, with the ability to produce your own content while also maintaining voice and quality assurance working with other writers. 


1. (Must haves)

-You are an excellent writer and editor. You can explain complex concepts clearly, tell a compelling story, and write with personality. You think editing is integral to the writing process.

-You have a proven history of content marketing or editorial success. Ideally within a SaaS or media company. We’re looking for someone who can show they have had a direct hand in building an audience, helping customers succeed, teaching and education, and ultimately making people take action.

-You write customer-centric content, with a clear understanding of why it was made and for whom. You’re a believer in talking with and knowing your audience.

-You have a holistic understanding of content marketing and can leverage the various facets (blog content, email, social, etc) to create a multi-pronged strategy. 

-You are opinionated about content and can speak clearly and persuasively as to what you perceive makes good (and bad) content.

-Outstanding written English


2. (Good to haves)

-You've managed other writers/creators. You have experience managing writers, editing their work, and bringing their creations in line with a brand and its strategic narrative.

-Experience writing for an international SaaS product

-Understanding of China’s digital ecosystem


3. Who we’re looking for

*has 3-5 years of proven content marketing experience, 

*Proven portfolio of outstanding content

*Lifelong learner

*Proactive self-starter who does not need to be told what to do but can both suggest and run projects to completion.

*As we are a multi-location/remote company it is imperative that you are able to communicate clearly in writing as most of our projects and communication are done through Slack.


4. What you will be doing

Our inbound engine is up and running. That said there is a tremendous amount of untapped potential. Your job will be to create useful content that will helps AdChina.io become a go-to resource for our target communities and customers. You’ll create blog posts and other collateral and copy for landing pages and campaigns to help inform, encourage, and market to customers across different stages of their lifecycle. 

You'll get to experiment with different formats and mediums to expand our reach and build our brand. You'll also manage and edit pieces by contractors, partners, and team members.

This is not an exhaustive list of what you’ll be working on. It is an opening scope, and you should be prepared to take on other challenges and tasks as well because we are a startup in rapid growth.

-Full-time (40 hours per week) remote job with a contract. This is NOT a freelance / part-time position you can do in tandem with other professional endeavors.

We get together twice a year in person for all-hands meetings and team building. 

We expect you to be available online using instant messaging software (We use Slack and WeChat) during your work, of which at least 4 hours daily should be overlapping with the team. 

We have weekly all-hands team meetings on Mondays, and outside of that, we keep in regular touch via Slack, WeChat and video hangouts as needed throughout the week.

For full-time members, we offer co-working space membership if needed.
