We’re looking for a experienced React Native engineer to lead our company into a different world of cross platform mobile development: React Native. Our company has a history of web applications and mobile applications of other technologies, but we are now looking to build out our portfolio in React Native. Because of this, we need a strong engineer that can lead these efforts, as the existing competency is limited. Strong communication and documentation skills are needed. At least 1 year of React Native experience is required and full stack experience is a plus. While we prefer candidates that have experience in native Android (Java) or iOS (Swift), it isn’t required.
This is a 3-month contract position to begin with, with the possibility of a long term extension afterward.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead new development efforts retaining to cross-platform mobile strategy in React Native
- Work with client and product managers to engineer custom React Native applications based on requirements
- Develop and document React Native dev ops and procedures to enable internal growth and development
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Fluent with both verbal and written English
- 20-40 hours per week of availability
- Mid-Senior or Senior level Position (3+ years of professional experience)
- 1 year of React Native experience (with a production app)
- Full stack experience a plus
- Professional Obj-C or Java experience a plus
