We’re looking for talented Node.js engineers to partner with amazing product companies to work as part of a team building modern REST backends. We regularly partner with Y Combinator & other well funded product companies that place a high value on engineering. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the most interesting new products and technologies in web development. If you're passionate about working with companies like Turo, Lattice, Vanco, You.i TV and Skyryse then this is the role for you.
You will be building core features for product companies and play a large role in achieving the core business goals. Often times the development teams are small and you will work directly with the CTO and alongside 1 or 2 other Senior engineers. Many clients work with our engineers on a longer term basis after an initial contract, so there are opportunities for full time positions as well. The profile of a typical company we work with is one that is technically proficient, performs regular code reviews, holds daily standups, communicates frequently on Slack, does daily builds, is user centric and is passionate about the product being built.
Strong communication and documentation skills are needed as this is a dynamic engineering environment. You'll need to demonstrate an understanding of Node.js. If you can work on the front end with React and React Native as well that's a huge advantage.
Contract lengths vary depending on the project, but typically range from 1 to 3 months (some last as long as 6 months). We also have contract to hire roles available, where after a short contract the company hires you full time remotely. The majority of our clients are in the San Francisco area so the closer to that timezone the better. We are looking for engineers in North America and South America.
