About the Role
We are looking to hire a Senior Product Manager. This is a unique opening at Float, a role previously held by our CEO, who’s looking to hand the reins to an experienced PM as we enter our next stage of growth.
Working with our CEO, CTO and two seasoned Product Designers, you’ll be helping define the future of team capacity planning for professional service teams around the world. Our customers are typically leaders at creative agencies, studios and firms, that rely on Float for its deep resource planning capabilities, and integration with their existing PM and chat services. You’ll expand on these strengths, with a specific focus on the enterprise.
The family of Float products includes our desktop browser app, iOS and Android apps, dedicated integrations and an API. You’ll influence the path of all of these products.
You’ll cover the full gamut of Product: Shaping the product roadmap, writing specifications for product features, setting success metrics and measuring our products against them. There’ll be elements of Project Management, our roadmap usually results in 4-6 key features we plan on delivering in a 6-week cycle. You’ll be coordinating with our engineering and QA leads to see these into production, maintaining the bar for both quality and performance.
Last but not least, you’ll drive Product innovation at Float, carving out opportunities to experiment with new technologies as they arise, from iOS14 widgets, to new data visualisations, ensuring we’re at the forefront when it comes to better and faster ways for teams to plan time.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone with experience managing best-in-class products at scale. You’re capable of zooming out and seeing the full picture - translating the company vision into an actionable product strategy - and zooming in to execute on that strategy, defining that work and seeing those features into production. The challenges of scaling a SaaS are familiar to you, and you have a strong grasp of SaaS metrics.
You have a great sense and appreciation for design. You use data to validate your intuition. You possess excellent writing skills, comfortable communicating ideas in a predominantly asynchronous environment.
Perhaps you’re currently at an established SaaS and are looking for an opportunity to carve your own path, and have a greater impact on a growing team and an industry-leading product.
