We’re seeking a web developer to join our tight-knit marketing team. Thousands of people visit our site every day to learn about our product. With your help, we’ll continue to scale. Your job is to help make our site faster and easier to use for both our visitors and content team. Together we’ll create the best experience possible that turns visitors into paying customers.

This is a part-time position, with an estimated workload of 10 to 15 hours per week. Depending on the need, this could turn into a full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Proactively seek opportunities to increase our site speed and apply optimizations
- Work with our SEO agency to implement any technical SEO recommendations
- When needed, build new WordPress [shortcodes] and blocks that are intuitive and easy to use
- Collaborate with our senior designer, sysadmin, copywriters, and management on marketing initiatives
- Use PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to bring mock-ups to life
- Find ways to improve the readability and reusability of our codebase
- Identify and fix bugs

Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven web development experience
- Proven experience with speed optimization on WordPress sites
- Deep understanding of PHP and other software languages used for web development (i.e. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
- Proficient with code versioning tools (i.e. Git)
- You’re able to show 3 examples of WordPress sites you’ve built that are live
Bonus Points
- Experience with Vue.js and React
- Basic understanding of SEO principles
- Familiar with AMP pages
- Experience with WP Engine
- You’ve worked remotely before
