We are looking for an exceptionally talented and experienced Data/Backend Engineer to join our tiny but mighty team on a full-time (remote) basis. Our ideal candidate is someone who is truly passionate about data and building high performance backend data systems.


What You'll Do:

The GroupGreeting engineering team is responsible for providing a best in class experience for card creators, signers, and recipients. You will architect, automate, manage, and validate our data collection pipelines and procedures. You will collaborate closely with the engineering lead and data team to build data integrations across our infrastructure and implement useful tracking throughout our product.

Requirements

What You'll Bring:

5+ Years experience with the following:

  • MySQL
  • A programming language such as Python or Ruby
  • Linux
  • Advanced Git
  • Designing, building and automating the ETL/ELT process
  • Tracing code written in Rails
  • Architecting database schemas for transactional data (production) and data/reporting uses (especially in the eTail sphere)
  • Data warehouse management experience
  • Knowledge of memory management, code formatting, time complexity, and code optimization
  • Grit, drive and a strong feeling of ownership coupled with collaboration
