Nathan James is looking for an experienced QA Automation Analyst who will quickly become a key member of our QA Group and help ensure the quality of our brand new, API-driven, web-based ERP system that's tailored to meet the needs of our rapidly growing eCommerce business. We are looking for someone who isn't scared to get their hands dirty, will roll up their sleeves and be a significant contributor to ensuring our Software Division delivers an ERP system that exceeds the quality expectations of its users - your colleagues.

The role is part of a growing Software Function that includes Product Management and Software Development Divisions. This position reports to the Quality Assurance Group Lead which is part of the Product Management Division.

Your primary areas of responsibilities will be to develop and maintain automated front-end and back-end tests for our expanding ERP system and business data services. You will be responsible for development, maintenance, execution and monitoring of automated test cases; building the data sets required for testing project deliverables; manually executing the test plans where required; identifying bugs and reporting recreated-steps to engineering while contributing to the development of user documentation.  

Additional areas of responsibility include QA testing of various API integrations that automate data flows and reporting systems that support day to day operations and decision making support systems used by the various Divisions within Nathan James. 

You will work in a prioritized sequence, focusing time and energy on the highest priority, most impactful projects.  You will assist the engineers with the execution of automated test cases enabling rapid development and supporting our automated build and deployment pipeline that’s hosted in Amazon’s AWS environments.

We are looking for an intellectually curious, well rounded, and experienced QA Automation Analyst with strong analytical and proven development/scripting skills. You love complex challenges, you’re driven by problem solving and delivering solutions with the utmost quality and you abhor defects. 

You have worked in agile development and can easily prioritize your work according to effort and impact. You can work autonomously, with focus, and are extremely clear in communicating issues back to stakeholders so the best possible business decisions can be made. You don’t require constant hand-holding, but you’re not afraid to speak up when requirements aren’t clear or they require additional context and details.  

You are passionate about technology and love testing, you are driven, and enjoy working in small team environments. You thrive on taking ownership for your areas of responsibility. You are energetic, and intentional about fostering a positive work environment. 

You must have 3+ years of QA automation or development experience preferably testing ERP/inventory management systems. You have a solid understanding of automation testing techniques and scripting and have used tools/frameworks like Postman, Selenium, Fiddler, Cucumber, Laravel Dusk. You have maintained and built automation frameworks that have integrated with CI servers. You have a strong background with SQL and testing REST APIs.
